Threat Exposure Management: Detect Your Cyber Exposure Before Attackers Act

Threat exposure management uncovers what your internal security tools cannot see: your credentials listed for sale on a cybercriminal forum, your exfiltrated documents circulating on Telegram, a fraudulent domain impersonating your brand by a single character. According to ENISA (Threat Landscape), 68% of intrusions result in data being published on cybercriminal forums. That data does not disappear. It is resold, aggregated and reused to prepare the next targeted attacks against your organization.

What Is Threat Exposure Management?

Threat exposure management (TEM) is a continuous approach to managing an organization’s digital exposure. It consists of identifying, qualifying and reducing exposures before an attacker exploits them. TEM relies on Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), defined as the collection, analysis and contextualization of threat data to produce actionable intelligence. Unlike a raw alert feed, operational CTI transforms thousands of signals into a limited set of prioritized, contextualized recommendations that your teams can act on immediately.

Key takeaway: Threat exposure management is not limited to dark web monitoring. It covers all digital sources where your organization’s data may appear: dark web, clear web, Telegram, cybercriminal forums, infostealer logs, active phishing sites and fraudulent domains.

Six Use Cases, One Cyber Exposure Detection Service

Our service continuously analyzes six source categories. Each detected signal is qualified by an analyst before being transmitted. Rather than an unmanageable volume of raw indicators, you receive a structured report with a criticality level and an immediate remediation plan.

01

IDENTITY · ENTERPRISE

Block access before login.

Detect your employees’ credentials in stealer logs (LummaC2, RedLine, StealC, Vidar, …) and combolists, then trigger account blocking via Entra ID before any exploitation occurs.

Continuous monitoring of leadership credentials, personal data and impersonation attempts across all cybercriminal sources.

Spot imposters before your clients do.

Real-time detection of domains similar to yours, lookalike portals and fake authentication pages. MX activation and site launch tracking enables intervention before a phishing campaign is launched.

See where threats actually live.

Monitoring of 160+ cybercriminal forums, 58,000+ Telegram channels including private channels generally inaccessible to standard tools, and 60+ active ransomware blogs.

Your Credentials Are Detected. The Account Is Already Locked.

Our platform indexes more than 20 billion compromised credentials and ingests more than 1.3 million new identities every week. None of this volume reaches you unfiltered. Our analysts qualify every signal against the Pyramid of Pain framework.

NIS2 and DORA: TEM as a Compliance Enabler

NIS2 and DORA impose strict notification deadlines in the event of an incident. Meeting those deadlines requires detecting compromises quickly, which is precisely what threat exposure management enables. NIS2 requires, through article 23, notification to the national authority within 24 hours of identifying a significant incident. Missing this deadline exposes the organization to sanctions. Without active monitoring of cybercriminal sources, however, a credential leak can remain invisible for weeks. Our service reduces this detection window and produces the documented evidence required for regulatory notification. DORA is even more demanding for financial entities. Article 17 requires classification of ICT incidents by severity. Articles 19 and 20 impose an initial notification within 4 hours for major incidents, an intermediate report within 72 hours and a final report within one month. These deadlines can only be met if the compromise is detected early. Threat exposure management is therefore a direct operational component of your DORA compliance framework.

What this means in practice: detecting a credential leak within hours rather than weeks is the difference between a timely regulatory notification and exposure to sanctions. Our service produces the documented evidence you need to respond to your national authority or financial supervisor within the required timeframes.

TEM Within Your Cyber Defense Architecture

Threat exposure management complements external attack surface management: EASM maps what attackers can exploit from outside your perimeter, TEM reveals what they already possess. Together, these two disciplines cover the full reconnaissance and preparation phases of a targeted attack.

Alerts from TEM feed directly into the SOC/CERT via our SOC-Sync module. A compromised credential detected overnight triggers an account block before the attacker uses it the next morning. This chain between external detection and operational response is what transforms threat intelligence from a reporting exercise into an active defense capability.

Your data is already out there.
